Lindy Hop
Lindy Hop is a Swing dance. This is the earliest form of Swing Jive that was evolved by African American teenagers in the late 1920's and early 1930's in the nightclubs of New York City. It can be danced to almost every style of music and has an emphasis on improvisation. Other Swing era dances include Charleston, Shag, Balboa and Blues. This group is often extended to include West Coast Swing, East Coast Swing, Jive,Jitterbug, Rock and Roll, Modern Jive.
